Help us share the future of Homer! Join us at to learn more about the Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan and share your ideas for the future of the Village!
This first public workshop is scheduled for Monday, June 15th, and provides an opportunity for residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to share their vision for the future and discuss priorities for the Village. The public workshop is designed for interactive community participation. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm with a short presentation outlining the purpose and goals of the planning process, followed by group activities to discuss opportunities and challenges impacting the Village. Families are encouraged to attend, and there will be a children’s station. Light refreshments will also be provided. Registration for the public workshop is encouraged but not required. Funded by the New York State Department of State Smart Growth Community Planning Grant Program, the Village’s Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan will guide land use, development, and community investments in the Village of Homer over the next 20 years. The Plan will establish an aspirational, yet feasible vision for Homer’s future and define policy focus areas, goals, and actionable strategies for achieving the Village’s vision.
