Water Street Closed on Thursday, January 29th

On January 29, 2020, Water Street from the intersection of North Main Street to approximately the back of the Homer Town Hall, will be closed due to the demolition of 27 North Main Street. Access to and egress from Water Street can be made through the north parking lot of the town hall. The street will be closed starting at 7am and should be open at 4pm.  Flagging personnel will be in the area of North Main Street and Clinton Street as the demolition may affect traffic on North Main Street.

National Grid has contacted Homer Village DPW. They are anticipating high winds starting around 6pm this evening. Peak winds will be reaching speeds up to 60 mph, expected from 3am through 2pm tomorrow. Any local power outages can expect 48 hours before being restored. Please call the 911 Call Center to report all down trees and/or power outages.  DO NOT CALL THE VILLAGE OFFICE OR DPW; ALL EMERGENCY RESPONSE STRATEGIES WILL BE COORDINATED THROUGH 911. Thank you.
